Ilihan Beach Resort - RP Reunion

Photo credit to Ilihan Beach resort

It was summer and it was very hot that time that's why my friend came up with an idea to go to a beach. In our group called R.P (Rebeldeng Palahubog hehe I am not going to tell what does it mean ^^) she is the event organizer, she is the one who usually look for a beach resort and she told us that we will go to Ilihan Beach Resort. We just said, "Okay  We will go to Ilihan Beach Resort!" even though we don't know what it looks like. I personally don't know what to expect there because I didn't even bother to look at the photos in the internet hmm maybe I did and forget after.hehe ^^,

I called Ilihan Beach Resort to make a reservation for a Gazebo which is good for 10 pax.  They were so accommodating that their staff went here in Davao City Downtown area just to get our down payment for the reservation.

How to go to Ilihan Beach Resort?

From Sasa Warf we rode a tricycle and told the driver that we will go to Ilihan Beach Resort. It was quite a long ride good thing that the road was not bumpy because it was already cemented.

Ilihan Beach Resort is an ideal private getaway and a great place to experience nature's most pleasant and placable features. It is gifted with a pristine shoreline, a rich marine life worth exploring whether high tide or low, a cove carved by the sea for thousands of years and glorious hills at the backdrop of this stunning beach.

Ilihan Beach Resort has a very long shoreline that's why we decided to explore the other side and we saw a spot where it was good for swimming.. It has fine sand, the water was clean and it was not also hot there because of the trees.

Ilihan Beach Resort is a good place for large group with a low expenses!

Field Trip at Davao Crocodile Park

I am here once again with my mother and her young students in their field trip! Woaaahh! In the movies, tv shows, news and etc crocodiles are known to be scary. I even remember hearing in the news before that a crocodile ate a man. Scarrryy ~__~

But then the moment I saw them face to face and know more about them well there is still the fact that I am scared but they are Awesome!

Davao Crocodile Park is not only a field trip destination but also a tourist destination here in Davao City because it is just near from the downtown area. The surrounding area has restaurants and shops as well as a butterfly farm. Speaking of restaurants you can try Crocodile Lechon (Roasted Crocodile) and Crocodile Ice Cream which can be found to one of the restaurants nearby.

Davao Crocodile Park is not only home of the crocodiles but also with other kinds of animals. I just can't name it all.. I am very bad at memorizing (~_~?) hehe  ... let me try enumerating hmmm as far as I can remember they have lots of birds including ostrich. They have also tigers, monkey and orangutan, turtle, snakes and etc hehe..

I forgot taking lots of photos of their animals because I was so preoccupied with my favorite part of the trip, watching their show! What show am I talking about? They have this program when they give trivia about the animals like how to determine if the crocodile is a male or female and how the birds court each other. They are doing that while the birds are showing some tricks!

And after that they will let you have the chance to touch some of the animals such as snakes, birds and baby crocodile.. of course with the staff guidance.

But I guess she is doubtful to touch the snake haha ^^

After roaming around in Davao Crocodile Park, we went to the Butterfly Farm and Tribu K'Mindanawun (Mindanao Tribe I guess hehe). No need to pay again for the entrance fee when going there because it is already included in the entrance fee of Davao Crocodile Park. Butterfly Farm and Tribu K'Mindanawun are not really big but you will have a good interaction with the butterflies and the houses of different tribe in Mindanao.

List of Asian Restaurants in Davao

We Filipinos just love food and eating together is our way of bonding as friends and family. As a food lover how can we say No to our neighboring countries food? Of course we love Asian food. There are lots of Asian Restaurant sprouting in the Philippines and here in Davao City.

Here are my list of Asian Restaurant here in Davao. These Restaurants are common here and where I always eat maybe because they have lots of branches, convenient location and great food! (Korean Restaurants are not included here because I already made a post about them)

1. Tokyo Tokyo

We ate here because of my mother and sister request. I think they were convince to eat here by the handsome endorser of this restaurant ^__^

2. Banana Leaf

Banana Leaf is the multi-awarded International restaurant that introduced Filipino diners to the delights of modern Malaysian, Singaporean, Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, and Indonesian cuisine. I remember when we ate here after all our order was delivered we were waiting that they will give us plate but then they told us that the Banana Leaf will be our plate and we were laughing because we thought it was just a plate mat. Their serving of food is very small but taste is really really great!

3. Bhajia Grilled Pizza (located at Bonifacio St)

I can't really say that this is an Asian Restaurant because they sell different kinds of foods from burger, main dish to grilled pizza.  "BHAJIA," pronounced bah-gee-ya, is a deep-fried snack that began in India, and was refined in Africa. This was the inspiration behind the name of the stall "Bahjia Grilled Pizza," I like Bhajia that's why I included it here hehe.

4. Dimsum Diner

I usually go to this restaurant at Sta. Ana branch every morning to eat breakfast. I think I already tried all their foods even though I have experience poor kind of service there I still keep coming back because of my two favorite Halo Halo and Chop Suey ^__^   Finding this restaurant is easy because they have lots of branches.

5. Mandarin Tea Garden

Compare to Dimsum Diner they offer lots of choices in their menu. Mandarin Tea Garden offers tasty Chinese cuisine for a reasonable price.  When dining at their restaurant, you have a lot of food choices from noodles soup, veggies, fish dishes and meats. Finding this restaurant is easy because they have lots of branches.

 6. Kublai Khan Mongolian Restaurant

Sad to say they are already close now :/ Good thing I have tried there before it happened. Actually we just went there out of curiosity hehe Their rice bowl is full of toppings. I ordered the seafood while my sister and mother ordered pork topping. They didn't just put seafood and pork but with lots of stuff.

7.  Zabadani Cafe (My Favorite xD)

Zabadani Cafe and Restaurant is a conglomeration of HALAL Middle Eastern Cuisine from Syria, Morocco, Libya, Egypt, Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Tunisia, etc. The place looks sophisticated and relaxing. I Just love the ambiance and the food are so tasty.

Korean Food lover? No need to go to Korea just to experience the great taste of Korean food because we have lots of Korean restaurant here in Philippines especially in Davao!

We Filipinos  just love almost everything about Korea. From Korean Drama, songs, actors and actress, singers and Korean Fooooddss. It is not only delicious but also Healthy!

Here are my top 3 favorite Korean Restaurants here in Davao!

 1. Gangnam in Davao Cafe and Restaurant

What I like about this restaurant is that they are 24 hours open. I can eat here early in the morning after my work. Usually Restaurant here open at 9:00 am and my work ends at 7:00 am. This place is good when I want to treat myself from the tiring night.

I love the ambiance! Very relaxing and clean! What shock me more is their serving. As we were looking at their menu it says that the serving of the food is good for one person but when we saw the foods  it is like good for 2 people xD

Hehe Heavy breakfast eh! Just like other Korean restaurant they also give some free foods.

2. Manna Korean Restaurant

A friend of mine is craving to eat east Asian food and at that time we were in SM Lanang Mall while looking for a place to eat we found Manna Davao. Aside from their delicious food, the crew and even the owner are very friendly and approachable.

3. Itaewon
